The salary of a highly qualified specialist. A3 Group Law Firm informs you of changes relating to the payment of wages to highly qualified specialists.

Changes made to the article. 13.2 of 115 FZ dated July 25, 2002, come into force on April 24, 2015.

In the previous edition of the Federal Law the salary of a highly qualified specialist was mentioned at the rate of one year.

The new edition of the Federal Law specifies the rate of remuneration for one calendar month. Also, this amount must be specified in the employment contract.

1. At least eighty-three thousand five hundred rubles per one calendar month - for highly qualified specialists who are scientists or teachers, if they are invited for research or teaching activities by state-accredited educational programs of educational institutions of higher education, public academies of science or their regional offices, national research centers or public research centers, as well as for highly qualified specialists invited for work by residents of industrial production, tourism and recreation, port special economic zones (except for individual entrepreneurs), organizations which are engaged in Information Technology and received according to the order established by Government of the Russian Federation, the document on the state accreditation of the organization operating in the field of information technologies (except for the organizations having the status of resident of technology-innovative special economic zone);

2. at least fifty-eight thousand five hundred rubles per one calendar month - for foreigners involved in work by residents of technology-innovative special economic zone (except for individual entrepreneurs);

3. excluding the salary size requirement - for foreign citizens participating in the project "Skolkovo" in accordance with the Federal Law "On the innovation center "Skolkovo";

4. at least eighty-three thousand five hundred rubles per one calendar month - for foreign citizens working in legal entities of the Republic of Crimea and the city of federal significance Sevastopol;

5. at least one hundred and sixty seven thousand rubles per one calendar month - for other foreign citizens.

Also there are some amendments relating to the compensation of highly qualified specialists in case of a break in the implementation of employment.

If a highly qualified specialist has a break in the implementation of employment in the Russian Federation in connection with his illness, leave without payment or other circumstances because of which the payment during this period wasn’t made at all or not made in full, the terms of the contract of a highly qualified specialist with regard to the size of the salary received shall be deemed fulfilled if the total amount of his salary for three calendar months during the reporting period is three times the size of his monthly salary.
