The Atri group Law Firm would like to inform you of the actual amendments to the migration legislation, which have taken effect on 6 July, 2015.

In case the information contained in the work permit/patent of a foreign national (first, second or patronymic name; details of the document certifying the identity) has been changed, the foreign national is obliged to apply to the FMS department within 7 business days from the moment of the change of the aforementioned information for the introduction of the corresponding
changes to his work permit/patent.

In case speciality, profession or occupation of a foreign national have been changed, the foreign national is as well obliged to apply to the FMS department for the introduction of the corresponding changes to his work permit/patent.
For the non-compliance with this requirement or the non-observance of the deadline in respect of applying to the FMS department, the legislation prescribes penalties both for natural (2 000 to 5 000 roubles) and legal (250 000 to 800 000 roubles) persons.
